How to use threshold tables sensibly

A threshold table is a record of one series. Each Cambridge table is titled for its series, for example March 2026 or November 2025, and the tables in this site are historical examples, not forecasts. Marks needed for a grade change from series to series. Use the tables to see the scale of the task, such as what share of the total a grade has needed, and not as an exact target.

A better habit is to build marks across both papers. Our teachers set a target grade, then split it into a target for each paper, so a student always knows where the next marks will come from. See the paper guides for how each paper is built and the tools for planning your revision.

If your child is a few marks short of a grade, one of our teachers can find which questions are costing them most. Book a trial class.
